The Town of Prosper will offer another memory-making experience for families in Downtown Prosper on August 11 with the next Discover Downtown event, the Moonlight Movie! Join us from 7-10 p.m. on the grounds of Prosper Town Hall, 250 W. First Street, for the annual movie night featuring entertaining outdoor games and a showing of the movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This family-friendly film stars everyone’s favorite hedgehog in a globe-trotting adventure filled with heartwarming friendships and adrenaline-pumping action!
Plan to arrive early, as restaurants and bars will be open in Downtown Prosper for bites and beverages! Pre-movie activities kick off the fun with popcorn, shaved ice, face painting, balloon artist, and interactive games. At dusk, the feature film will be shown on the south lawn. Bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the open lawn seating under the stars!

The Moonlight Movie is the third community event in the 2023 Discover Downtown Series. Presented by Prosper Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Prosper Economic Development Corporation, the events are opportunities for residents and visitors to see the revitalization happening in Downtown Prosper. There are more than forty merchants in the area offering a diverse set of goods and services.
The final Discover Downtown event of the year, Paws on Broadway, will take place on September 9. Bring your favorite canine to enjoy treats and contests! Complimentary booth space is currently available for approved merchants offering pet-related products and services.
