Celebrate Prosper’s small-town charm and big-hearted spirit at the annual Celebrate Prosper event at Frontier Park, 1551 Frontier Pkwy, on Saturday, October 7 from 5-9 p.m.! Celebrate Prosper is a time to throw down your blanket or chair and enjoy live music, meet local nonprofit organizations and have dinner served by Town Councilmembers – all for free! Exhibitors include Prosper-based and Prosper-focused nonprofit organizations that contribute to the well-being of the community. Come discover the available services and ways to get involved.
Live entertainment on stage features headliner, The Halftones, who will bring their brand of Texas rock and blues to Prosper and cover classic rock legends from Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Stevie Ray, Hendrix, Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, and Skynyrd, to Pearl Jam, Sublime, Foo Fighters, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Also performing will be the Ft. Worth-based funk and soul band, Retrophonics, and the Turnpike Tributedours, a tribute band performing an exciting reproduction of a concert performance of Turnpike Troubadours.
A Kids Zone will keep the kids entertained with numerous inflatables, including Wacky Rush, Toddler Combo, two big slides and three sports games. Also on the grounds will be face painters, balloon artist and a photo booth.
The Town will host the Prosper Wonder Squad and Families of Children with Special Needs prior to the event at 4 p.m. Each family will receive a VIP Parking Pass for close access to the event, a coupon for a free snow cone, access to a 10’ x 10’ screened changing tent and early admittance to the Kids Zone. Parents who are interested in early access to the event can visit the Parks & Recreation Administrative office, 409 E. First St., in advance to pick up a packet. Office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“The Celebrate Prosper event does exactly that. It’s a celebration of the Town and its people. It’s a free event for our residents to come out and meet some great Prosper nonprofit organizations, eat delicious food and enjoy some great music in the park,” said Parks and Recreation Director, Dan Baker.
The parking lot near the Frontier Park pavilion will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. for event setup. Visitors can find event parking at the Prosper ISD stadium parking lot and throughout Frontier Park. ADA parking spaces are available in the PISD Stadium lot and also near the pavilion.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chair to enjoy the lawn seating which will be open throughout the event.
