The Prosper Arbor Day Celebration recognizes the importance of trees in the lives of Prosper residents! The simple act of planting a tree demonstrates a strong concern for the well-being of future generations, confident that the trees will grow and provide refuge for wildlife, erosion control, shelter from the wind and sun, beauty and inspiration for decades to come. The annual Prosper Arbor Day Celebration brings together local scouts who, together with Parks Operations staff, plant trees in a Prosper park. We welcome Girl Scout Troop 8415, Girl Scout Troop 4679, and Boy Scout Troop 365 as our partners!
In addition to planting trees, we’ll talk about proper planting techniques and care of feeding of these natural resources. Also planned is the reading of a proclamation by Mayor Bristol.
This year’s Prosper Arbor Celebration will take place behind the school at Windsong Park.
