Is your medicine cabinet in need of a purge? Safety officials will be on-site and ready to collect and properly dispose of your prescription drugs during National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 22. The event will be held at the Central Fire Station at 1500 E. First St. from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Please do not bring needles, syringes, or inhalers to this event. Before dropping off, black out your name and address on the prescription bottles, or pour medications directly into a disposable bag. Tablets, capsules, and solid forms of medication are accepted. This is a safe and legal way to get rid of prescription pain pills and controlled substance medications that can only be accepted for disposal in the presence of law enforcement.
