Make plans to attend the annual Prosper Christmas Festival on December 2 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Prosper Town Hall, 250 W. First St. This popular event draws thousands to Downtown Prosper, bringing together residents, businesses, schools, nonprofit groups, skilled artisans, talented performers and Town officials in the spirit of community that is uniquely Prosper! The magical event is free of charge due to the generosity of Sponsors at many levels. Top Tier Platinum Sponsors for 2023 are DFW Improved, Sinacola and Texas Health Prosper.
The festival caters to families and offers memory-making experiences for all ages! More than 90 exhibit spaces will be decorated in holiday style and feature entertaining games, giveaways and unique gift items. Available for sale will be fine art, jewelry, holiday decor, apparel, wood-crafted items, ceramics, juice, elderberry syrup and a host of baked goods and confections.
The new Grand Entryway will be lined with holiday wreaths made by fifth-grade students from each Prosper elementary school. This partnership between the Prosper ISD Fine Arts program and Prosper Parks & Recreation Department is another example of the cooperative spirit that strengthens the community.
“This signature event of the Town will be a blend of traditional items event goers will recognize from the past with an infusion of new and exciting components,” said Parks and Recreation Director, Dan Baker.
In addition to the exhibits, festive main attractions provide nostalgic and entertaining yuletide adventures! These event highlights are made possible by the support of Gold Sponsors:

To register a child for the shopping experience, please visit the Kids Christmas Shoppe Registration tent on event day. Registration will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and located on the east side of Town Hall. Young shoppers will receive designated time slots and badges to enter the secure area. Adults who have been background-checked will guide the young shoppers in 15-minute shifts. While children shop, parents and guardians will wait in the Town Hall Council Chambers.
The Kids Christmas Shoppe will accept cash and credit cards. Proceeds benefit the Recreational Scholarship Fund which assists Prosper residents and those in the Prosper ISD school district to attend camps and classes when they are financially unable to do so.
As the festival draws to a close at 7:00 p.m., children will be called to the Town Hall lawn for the annual Community Tree Lighting led by Prosper Mayor David Bristol. Anticipation is high as the excited group counts down together to the lighting of the official Town of Prosper Christmas tree. Following the tree lighting, an exciting Drone Show, new to the festival this year, will cap off the festivities.
Attendees are encouraged to park and ride the free shuttles to and from the event, as parking is limited in the Downtown Prosper area. Complimentary shuttles will run from Reynolds Middle School, 700 N. Coleman Street and Prosper High School, 301 Eagle Drive, beginning at 1:30 p.m. and continue to run as long as needed to return attendees to their cars. An ADA bus will run to the event from Reynolds Middle School.
For those who wish to participate, Child ID bracelets will be available at the Prosper CERT tent located next to the Prosper Fire Dept. tent at the event. Bracelets are free of charge and provide critical information to help reunite families should a child be separated from a parent or guardian.
